I met Martin Butler online on Facebook today, and managed to get him in the comfort of his own house in Lincoln NE - at first I thought it might be Nebraska, but on closer look noticed it was England, UK.

Martin agreed to my interviewing him, as he had heard of my virtual reporting.  

Please tell me about yourself Martin, and what makes you tick?

"Many of my followers will know that I make my living from my small home office where I run my online empire. I have my fingers in many online businesses all of which act as dripping taps constantly supplying regular income into my bank account".

Would you describe yourself as an Internet Millionaire, and someone who has beaten the system?

"Forget about trying to be the next internet millionaire within the next 6 months. Only a very small percentage achieve this as they have knowledge that a raw beginner doesn't have."

Is it possible to Get Rich on the Internet?

"As you probably know, There are thousands of money making websites all offering you an instant way to get rich. Think about it, If all the people who brought these products got rich, no one would be working for a boss. Never before has an individual been able to compete with the big boys- Not until now!!"

Why do you say 'now' is their another way?

"It is now possible to level the playing field and give a beginner the essential tools to create a totally professional online business, without having to spend thousands on mistakes as I have in the past".

Do you mean to say that you have taken the guru's advice and bought the courses?

"I have brought the courses, attended the seminar's, had the so called one to one tuition with top guru's valued at thousands of pounds that turned out to be an email to ask a couple of questions that I got NO answer to".

What do you mean, are you suggesting that guru's can't help?

"You see, I have done all this and spent thousands making other people rich and they just got richer".

"It was my burning desire to break out of the system and stop working for people who knew nothing who were in positions of power all following somebody else's dream. There was one thing that I heard that made me realise I had to change. It was the following statement:

If you keep doing what you are doing, you'll keep getting what you are getting"

So this line brought a revelation to you? It allowed you to break with the past?

"Wow- I had turned 40 and had been working as an electrician since the age of 16 and I was working 12 hour days and nights. I had no savings and had to take holidays when it was convenient for the company. I was living to work. There was no fun, no money and no future, only the promise of a pension when I reached 65".

Sad isn't it, and a lot of people are being mesmerized by these supposed gurus, aren't they?

"I wanted to know how other people got rich and why wasn't I ever going to achieve this wealth? This is when I started to buy all the material on getting rich. This was desperation. I fell for every advertising ploy. Copy this system, get rich quick, fool proof ways to get rich etc' I spent thousands and earned nothing".

A lesson to us all

"I took a year out of my life and started to educate myself in the ways of doing things to get where I wanted to be. I would spend up to 15 hours a day 7 days a week studying the internet and learning how the successful people were operating and then finding out how a beginner could compete with them".

So what happened, what did you glean?

"2 years down the line, I am now my own boss, My income is totally generated from the internet, I have cash going in my account while I sleep due to the fact that I have customers all over the world, I have no money worries, I own my large 5 bedroom home outright, I have had investment property's and I have a life".

Congratulations

"Now- if I had done nothing and carried on doing the same things I had been doing since I brought the flat back in 1985, I would have still been there now. It's surprising how you CAN change your life if you have a burning desire and the right information. One point here is that you must have a burning desire to change because if you don't, you will fall back into your comfort zone and fail.

For years my tools were a pair of pliers, a screwdriver and a test lamp, now my tools are a computer, a mouse and a keyboard. I knew nothing about computers until I brought my first one in 1998 and am completely self taught. I never realised back then what a fantastic tool the internet was going to be but this was the time all the top internet guru's of today got started. I wish I had someone guiding me when I needed it so I know how important it is to have a mentor at the beginning.
