Going to a meeting. Arriving late and then told by the receptionist that the meeting is in another place.

Walking upstairs downstairs, along long corridors. Arriving at meeting only to find it is not there.

Retracing your steps to a different reception, and being redirected to another office upstairs - downstairs more walking............. Crash wrong meeting.

Then you find out meeting was on in the first office you went too, and the receptionist was given the wrong information.

The receptionist then says that someone came down and told her that - how frustrating particularly because no-one apologized.

Is this how large corporations communicate?

I can only reflect on Kafka's Castle and the unfortunate K who could not find his way n the sea of bureaucracy, do you know what I mean?

This wouldn't have happened if I had got my virtual assistant to ring ahead of me.
