Why CEOs Do Not Have To Do Social Media Tasks Themselves

CEOs must steer their business to success, tweeting and blogging may not the most important thing they should spend their time on.

CEOs are assigned to be the chief driver of a business.  A CEO is the leader that will steer the business to success or failure, depending on how he/she performs the job. The CEO has a huge responsibility to make sure that everything in the business is running smoothly. This is why even if social media marketing and client engagement are very important in business the CEO does not necessarily need to be the one to do the social media tasks. The CEO may be the best personality to represent a business online because he/she can really serve as an official and expert voice, but because of the tremendous responsibilities the CEO need to fulfill, he/she may not have the time to invest in social networks. Social media marketing and the deeper engagement of clients require time and because of this, the CEO may not be the best social media representative for a business.  Because the CEO has the main responsibility of steering the business to success, tweeting and blogging may not be the things he should give priority to.

A CEO that tweets once a week will not be as successful in social media marketing as say a company staff that can tweet every hour.  For social media marketing to work, a company must put out a good number of good tweets, blogs, articles, press releases and messages out there that reinforce the company’s good image.  Many social networks offer services for free but these services require an investment in time- the VA will put in the required time.

The company can hire a virtual assistant who will work a few hours each day on the company’s social media- creating content and networking with the right people- so that the company can reap the benefits of social media without necessarily putting in too much monetary investment on the efforts.  A VA can work for as little as$25 an hour on social media tasks. You don’t need to provide the VA with bonuses and other career perks to have them work for you. They will also be using their own internet connection, equipment and office space so you won’t incur any additional expenses on social media marketing.
