Social Media Humanize Brands

Why do big companies invest time in social media when they can pay for ads and launch offline marketing campaigns?  Social media humanize brands.

Marketing a product can be tough especially for companies that have consumer products. With so many companies, products and brands competing for clients, companies must find ways to connect with clients and get them to stand up and take notice of the brand. Companies must create an image for a product that its target market can relate to.  Aside from traditional media, companies can use social media to help them perpetuate the values and the image of their brands. Social media are perfectly capable of humanizing brands.

Using social media is not easy even for big brands but companies that succeed in using social media for marketing understand that they need to invest time in them.  For people to truly identify with the brand and develop a loyalty to it, a company must invest time in nourishing the relationship. Companies like Dell and Ford have been using social media for two years. These two companies have used their online accounts to make their brands more appealing to the people.  There are plenty of other brands that use social media including Starbucks, Zappos, Pepsi and other large corporations. But it is not just the large corporations that can benefit from making their brands more human.

For small companies, it is also important to use social media to maintain that human touch. Small companies can succeed at online marketing by implementing a more personal approach. An advantage of small companies is that they usually apply more personal approach to business. Small companies can interact more closely with their clients. A CEO can tweet or blog and directly communicate with clients and potential customers.

Large and small companies can choose to hire a virtual assistant to do all the social media tasks for them. By being an active participant in social media, the company can really present itself as a company that is concerned about its clientele and willing to truly communicate with its market.  The company just has to teach the VA the kind of effective representation that it wants for its business so that the VA will know what to post, who to interact with and what to do to really represent the business well using social media.
