Maintain Interesting Social Media Accounts
Some people work very hard on their social media accounts and really invest so much time and energy on making sure they are communicating with the people in their network and posting fresh information on their Twitter and other social accounts daily. But not everyone that spends a lot of time on their social accounts get the full benefits of using social media. This is because social media use should also focus on the quality of the information and messages shared and not just the quantity. Even if you spend all your waking hours online trying to get people to follow you on Twitter or Facebook, you will not get the results you desire if your online accounts are boring. Many people these days have very short attention spans especially because there are just so many things that can grabtheir attentions online.
When you have interesting social media accounts, people will share your accounts and people will really follow you without you trying too hard to get noticed.
Here are some of the things you can do to keep your Twitter and other social accounts interesting:
· Be authentic- your online messages should really represent the kind of personality you have in real life. Even if you are using the account for business does not mean that your Twitter or Facebook account should lack “personality”. Just make sure that your tweets and messages area authentic. This is the only way you can establish an image of consistency and trust worthiness.
· Engage clients- do not use social media as simply tools to broadcast information to the public. Make sure you use social media to talk to clients and not just to send out information. Get feedback and respond to conversations in a personal manner,
· Post creative messages- make sure you think of ways to make your interactions with people more fun. Mix up the contents of your social media accounts. You can post information, photos and videos that are interesting to your target market.
· Hire a virtual assistant to manage your social media for you- hire a social media manager in the form of a virtual assistant to help you maintain and manage your Twitter, Facebook, blog and other social media accounts. A VA can help you create interesting content for your accounts.
· Keep conversations going- make your social media use about your clients not about you.
