Philippines Beats India In Call Center Popularity among Westerners

The Philippines continues to create a big noise in call center media with the rise of two more players in Bacolod City and Davao, beating India in popularity with US clients.

Bacolod City—the capital and largest city of  Negros Occidental, home of Maskara Festival, the most populous city in the Western Visayas region, a city of smiles, the football capital of the Philippines and now is the first among the top ten next wave cities for outsourcing.

The business process outsourcing in Bacolod is 
growing very fast with the opening of another call center company this June 2010. With a total number of eight companies since 2004, the call centers in Bacolod has given 7,000 jobs and almost paying P80 million every month.

will initially be hiring 800 people on its opening. They will hold office in a two storey building just 200 meters away from the Bacolod City Government Center.

This will be the start of Panasiatic’s series of projects in Bacolod for they have everything they needed in this city and with a very much educated and competent workforce according to Mister Salamouni.

Despite the reports that the business process outsourcing in Bacolod is already saturated, it continues to attract more companies due to its great and wonderful business environment. Mayor Evelio R. Leonardia assured Mr.Salamouni to create a healthier business atmosphere that will make growth easier, the mayor also promised to give all the cooperation and support needed from the government of Bacolod.

Another Call Center in Davao run by Catch Friday Enterprises, a British entity has appointed James Pitt an expatriate as Head of Operations, and has just signed a corporate player in Canada.

He also has experience in getting the very best people in the Philippines up to speed to do very high quality work in the developed world.

For example the call center has done work for a range of high quality business clients in the US, Canada and the UK. The quality and quantity of the PR his team generates is amazing.

Pitt continues to carry favor with US clients, and recently added more seats to his empire.
