Now if you have a bad product, no amount of PR work will make your product good and ensure the long-term success of your business. Social media marketing is particularly effective in communicating values to the public. Because of the wide reach of channels such as Twitter and Facebook, they are very effective for announcements and other communication tactics that you need to do to be able to raise the profile of your business and your brand to attract clients.
If you do not have a good product no amount of creative marketing and social strategy can help you gain success. If people do not care for your products because they simply are bad then the only reason you could get clients initially is you fooled them into thinking that your product is worth the money that they are paying you. In the end, you cannot achieve long term success through this method. People will move on to better products and refuse to hand your business any more money.

Social marketing only works if you have a good product to speak of in the first place. Social media are just communication channels. They are what you use to communicate to people. How can you tell people your products are good when they aren’t? How can you stop people from posting negative reviews online if you have an inferior product?
Just remember, social media marketing is a tactic that you use to sell your product. You cannot use it to make good what is bad.
