Public relations may be completely different from online marketing but if you want to really have a successful business, they should work together.

Marketing and PR may be two distinct fields of business communications but if you really want your business to be successful, you should always make sure that they work together.   Your business communications must be effective in delivering the kind of message that you want to the public.

In Public Relations, you want to foster positive interaction between you and the public.  It’s when people understand what you are trying to convey, when they see the positive aspects of your business, then you have been successful at your public relations.

Now with online marketing, your goal is to get your business known, and to convince people to buy your products and services.  To be able to boost your company’s image, and to be able to get sales, you also need to make sure that you have good public relations. PR and marketing work hand in hand.  They are especially interdependent now that both fields really need to make use of the internet.

These days if you want your business to grow and survive, you have to adapt at internet technologies.  Use the tools that can help you reach your target audience and make sure that you communicate well. Whether you are branding and pushing your business and products, managing public relations problems, handling customer service, managing investor relations, you need to make sure that you use internet and communication tools and use them to their fullest capacities.
