Have an understanding of market research. Knowing your target audience and knowing your competition will allow you to devise an effective “attack”. You want to make sure that whatever communication campaign you launch, that you are appealing to a target audience. Understanding your market will allow you to really tailor-fit your communication styles to what will work for your market. Understanding what your competitors are doing will allow you to respond accordingly.
