Customer Service Hell

There's something electrifying about a shocking experience I had today when I decided to pay EDF, an electric utility supplier in the UK - anyone would think that ringing to pay a bill would be so easily - but it's not - not at all!

I got instead a reminder of real customer service hell a computer answerphone instead of a human voice - do you know what I mean? Really?

If I was to consider how many people are unemployed and weigh this up against the profits of this corporate entity - my mind would grovel, wouldn't yours?

EDF Energy with such a friendly happy website - ask about our values and mission! It certainly is not people is it!
They are located in Exeter UK, where 2010 people according to January 2011 statistics are unemployed and claiming benefit.

I though to myself that they probably don't give a damn about their customers as I carried on hanging on, whilst the metallic voice droned on, not even hearing my voice........

Électricité de France (EDF) is the world’s largest utility company and no wonder! I could picture them talking to their staff ...... nous we are the world's biggest electricity company and we have - OMG they still haven't answered the phone....... flipping heck!

Finally after twenty minutes I paid their final bill - I'm leaving them!
